Kecleon Shop
Learn what to buy in the PokéSurvivor Kecleon Shop, how Mints and Ability Capsules work, and how daily TMs expand a Pokémon’s move pool.
Last verified:
The Kecleon Shop uses the game’s coins. Purchases go into your Bag; they are applied to a specific Pokémon from its Collection entry. Buying an item does not immediately change your active partner.
Shop prices
| Item | Coins | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Mint | 1,500 | Choose a new nature for one Pokémon. |
| Ability Capsule | 1,500 | Choose another available regular ability slot for one Pokémon. |
| Hidden Ability Capsule | 5,000 | Choose another available ability slot, including its hidden ability. |
| TM | Varies by move | Teach a compatible move to one Pokémon; the TM is consumed. |
How to buy and use an item
- Open Shop from the game’s main menu and buy an item or one of the available TMs with coins.
- Check Bag for unused stock, then open Collection and select the Pokémon you want to change.
- Use Mint, Capsule or Teach TM on that Pokémon’s entry and select an eligible option. A successful use consumes one item.
- Check the changed nature, ability or learned move. Before switching devices, use the game’s save options and confirm that your progress has synced.
Mints and natures
There are 25 natures. Twenty increase one stat by 10% and reduce another by 10%; five are neutral. The affected stats are physical attack, special attack, defense, special defense and speed. HP is unchanged.
A Mint lets you choose the nature instead of rerolling it. The game recalculates its combined attack value from the higher of physical and special attack after nature modifiers. Check your moves’ damage categories before choosing.
Ability Capsules: regular and hidden
Ability choices depend on the species. A regular Capsule can select another available regular slot; it cannot select a hidden ability. A Hidden Ability Capsule can select another available slot, regular or hidden. The current slot is excluded, and not every species has a distinct alternative.
The initial hidden-ability chance is 1 in 20 only for species with a hidden slot. Initial nature and ability rolls are stable for the account and species; collecting the same species again does not reroll them.
Daily TMs and refresh time
The Shop offers eight TMs per day, selected using the calendar date in Europe/Madrid. The base selection is shared for that date. Daylight saving time means this is not a fixed UTC reset hour all year.
If none of those TMs can currently be taught to your selected partner, the eighth slot is replaced with a compatible, not-yet-taught move, when one exists. Different partners or learned moves can therefore produce a different final slot.
Which TMs can a Pokémon learn?
The game checks its TM compatibility list, then excludes moves already available naturally and moves previously taught to that Pokémon. Type-based and Normal moves already in its natural pool do not need a TM.
A successful teaching uses one owned TM and permanently adds the move to that Pokémon’s learned list. The move can enter level-up choices and eligible non-buff starting-move choices; it is not automatically equipped in every run. Knowing a species is compatible does not mean your Pokémon has already learned the move.
Second starting move is a separate upgrade
This is purchased in Upgrades, not in the Shop. It costs 400 coins per Pokémon and requires Repertoire. Choosing a legal second move again is free. Taught TMs can be eligible, but the second move must differ from the first and cannot be a buff.
Shop questions
Why did my purchase not change my Pokémon?
Buying adds stock to Bag. Apply the item from the selected Pokémon’s Collection entry; the Shop purchase alone does not apply it.
Can I teach the same TM twice to one Pokémon?
No. A previously taught move is excluded from that Pokémon’s learnable list. A separate Pokémon needs its own compatible TM use.
Does the Hidden Ability Capsule always give a hidden ability?
No. It lets you choose another available slot, including hidden slots. Check the choices for that species before using it.
Are all TMs the same price?
No. Prices are defined per move. The Shop uses 400 coins as a fallback when a move has no explicit price. Check the displayed price before buying.
