Leave blank to calculate without a budget. Zero is a valid budget.
Permanent upgrades belong to each Pokémon; coins are shared. This tab remembers each Pokémon’s inputs separately; a new Pokémon starts at zero. Save and Load affect only the selected Pokémon.
Selecting the second starting move choice automatically includes Repertoire if you do not already own it. Its cost is included in the total.

Purchase breakdown (0)
Purchases appear in catalog order, not an optimized buying order. Each purchase is rounded separately.
How to use the upgrade planner
Choose a Pokémon, enter its purchased levels and your target levels, then optionally set a coin budget. Only the additional purchases count toward cost. Save and load plans separately for each Pokémon, or copy a link to share all inputs.
Each purchase costs Math.round(base × growth^currentLevel / 10) × 10 coins. Add the individually rounded purchases from current to target level. Vitality 0→3 costs 60 + 80 + 110 = 250; Strength 0→2 costs 80 + 110 = 190. Together: 440, leaving 60 from a budget of 500.
What this calculator includes
Bonuses show permanent upgrades only. Equipped traits, held items and damage are not simulated. Permanent purchases do not replace run cards required for move evolution. Starting move upgrades unlock choices; they do not select moves here. This tool neither accesses your game save nor spends coins.
Repertoire adds a second starting move. It does not fuse both moves or make both attack slots fire together.
Upgrade planner questions
Are upgrades shared between Pokémon?
No. Permanent upgrade levels belong to each Pokémon, while coins are shared. Save and load a separate plan for each Pokémon in this browser.
Why add each purchase separately?
The game rounds each next-level price to the nearest 10 coins. Rounding only the final sum can give a different result. Existing levels are already purchased and are not charged again.
Do permanent upgrades replace evolution cards?
No. You still need the required run card and move level during a run.
Does this change my game save?
No. Saving stores only this plan in your browser, separately for each Pokémon. A share link contains plan inputs.
How does the 440-coin example work?
Each purchase costs Math.round(base × growth^currentLevel / 10) × 10 coins. Add the individually rounded purchases from current to target level. Vitality 0→3 costs 60 + 80 + 110 = 250; Strength 0→2 costs 80 + 110 = 190. Together: 440, leaving 60 from a budget of 500.
