A separate encounter
Entering a Rift takes you into a type-themed arena. A dual-type legendary can lead to either of its types; in co-op, the group enters together.
Find the arena behind each type, check which legendary Pokémon can appear there and browse all 87 entries by region. Prepare your moves and positioning before stepping through a Rift.
A PokéSurvivor Rift is a portal to a separate legendary encounter. Walk into an open portal to leave the main map for a type-themed arena; in co-op, entering brings the group with you.
The arena has its own terrain and weather. A dual-type legendary randomly uses one of its two types for the setting, but still keeps both types for matchups. The official guide describes occasional portals without promising an exact arrival time. Watch for the opening rather than building a strategy around a countdown.

Check the floor and attack markers before committing. Lava burns, water can slow movement and ice changes your footing. Compare both defensive types, not just the arena label.
Win the legendary encounter to receive a ×10 ticket for the regional gacha. If you fall, you return to the main map without that reward. In co-op, prepare as a group before anyone enters.
A Rift victory awards a ×10 gacha ticket. A loss sends you back to the main map without a reward. These reward rules follow the game’s official legendary guide.
The number on each card counts distinct members of this 87-Pokémon roster whose types match that arena. Dual-type Pokémon count in both eligible arenas, so these counts must not be added together as a unique roster total.
Open ground suits circling and kiting. Steer around scattered trees and pillars while attacking on the move.
Lava pools break up the volcanic ground. Dodge onto safe terrain to avoid burns.
Water slows you down. Circle in short loops to stay in range without crossing the pools.
Foliage can hide approaching enemies. Fight near a clearing and avoid retreating through slowing swamp patches.
Quick enemies and electrified ground demand careful movement. Use short dodges between safe patches instead of chasing through hazards.
Slippery ice carries you farther than expected. Turn early and leave room to stop.
Expect close-range pressure in this enclosed dojo. Dodge between pillars and keep an exit open rather than relying on wide circles.
Poison pools cut across the swamp. Keep your escape route on dry ground.
Watch for tremors on the exposed desert ground. Keep moving, but plan detours around patches that slow your escape.
A windy summit with attacks from several directions. Use open lanes to dodge without backing into the boundary.
Watch for psychic attacks covering wide areas. Leave the warning zone early and avoid letting the temple’s pillars block your escape.
Use area damage against fast, fragile swarms. Clear room to move, then steer around the forest’s slowing swamp patches.
Heavy rock projectiles make cover valuable. Use rocks and pillars to break their path, then move out for a clear shot.
Enemies can slip out of sight. In the fog, regain your target before chasing past trees or into a corner.
Watch for long beam attacks. Dodge sideways and stay clear of the hazardous pools.
A cramped alley rewards small, precise dodges. Keep an exit open and avoid wide turns.
Use piercing attacks and sustained damage against tough defenders. Keep a clear firing angle between the fortress’s pillars.
Watch for charm effects and misdirection. Follow attack markers carefully and keep your escape clear of trees and water.
Start with a developed attack, a useful matchup and room to move. The following is practical build and positioning advice, not a guaranteed clear: the opponent, terrain and your current upgrades change what is safe.
Compare your active move against both of the legendary’s types. A neutral option can be preferable to a resisted attack with a more impressive animation. Use the type chart before committing upgrades to a coverage move.
Treat marked attack areas as a signal to reposition. Leave the threatened space before trying to land another hit, and keep a clear route away from the boss. A short sidestep can preserve more attacking time than retreating into a corner.
Avoid crossing lava to maintain damage. Allow extra stopping room on ice and extra travel time through water. Check whether obstacles also obstruct your own shots before relying on a position behind them.
Improve one dependable attack before spreading upgrades across several unfinished options. An evolved move can help if its requirements fit your run; damage still depends on range, coverage and staying alive long enough to use it.
Leave teammates separate escape routes, avoid stacking in one danger zone and approach a fallen ally only when it is safe. Agree on readiness before anyone enters, because a Rift takes the whole group into the encounter.
Defeating a Rift legendary grants a Bond. Spend it to combine moves in one slot: selecting that slot activates the grouped moves together. This changes what you can run at once, rather than simply increasing a move’s level.
With two separate moves available, a Bond can join them. Further Bonds can expand an eligible group, up to four moves in one slot. You still need suitable moves to fuse.
As a build idea, pair a ranged attack with an aura or orbit that handles nearby pressure. Check both damage types and ranges so the group solves more than one problem.
Evolution improves a move through its own recipe; a Bond groups moves into one selectable slot. Review evolution requirements separately instead of assuming fusion replaces them.
The fusion rules above were checked against the developer’s public game source. They describe the reviewed version; follow the choices shown in your live run.

Roster, arena names and ticket rewards follow the official legendary guide when references disagree. Combat recommendations are editorial advice, not guaranteed results. Bonds were additionally checked against the developer’s public fusion implementation.
A dual-type legendary can use either type to determine its arena. It is still one roster entry, even though it appears in both arena eligibility lists.
No. The regional list contains 87 unique Pokémon; arena lists overlap whenever a legendary has two types.
Yes. The checked Rift selection uses a separate 1-in-512 shiny check when the chosen legendary has shiny artwork. Defeat the shiny to trigger its collection unlock.
The official guide describes Rifts as appearing from time to time on the map. It does not specify a fixed interval, so watch for a portal during your run rather than expecting it at an exact minute.
