Ember
ProjectileLaunches a fireball toward the closest enemy.
Fire deals extra damage to Grass, Ice, Bug and Steel. Compare its weaknesses, explore six different attack styles and check the Fire partners and legendary encounters before planning your next build.
Fire attacks deal ×1.6 to Grass, Ice, Bug and Steel, but ×0.6 to Fire, Water, Rock and Dragon. These values apply to single-type targets.
A pure Fire partner takes ×1.6 from Water, Ground and Rock. It resists six attack types at ×0.6; resistance reduces damage rather than making an attack harmless.
Each Fire move has an evolution recipe. The list covers the Fire move pool, not a shared learnset: your partner’s available moves determine which options you can use.

Eight legendaries are eligible for this arena: Moltres, Entei, Ho-Oh, Heatran, Victini, Reshiram, Volcanion and Chi-Yu. Entei is pure Fire; the other seven have a second type and can also use that type’s arena. Their complete typing still determines damage matchups.

The official weather guide states that harsh sunlight boosts Fire and weakens Water, while rain boosts Water and weakens Fire. Weather is a separate consideration from the type chart: check the current conditions alongside the opponent’s types.
Fire deals ×1.6 damage to a single Grass, Ice, Bug or Steel type. Against two defending types, the modifiers multiply, with a maximum of ×2.4.
Pure Fire takes ×1.6 from Water, Ground and Rock. It takes ×0.6 from Fire, Grass, Ice, Bug, Steel and Fairy. A second type can change these values.
Ember needs Power; Flamethrower and Will-O-Wisp need Reflexes; Fire Spin needs Synthesis; Heat Wave needs Vigor; Flame Wheel needs Sprint.
No. Entei is the only pure Fire entry among the eight eligible legendaries. The other seven retain their second type even when the encounter uses Igneous Volcano.
