Vine Whip sweeps in front of your partner. Razor Leaf can hit on both its outward and return paths. Petal Blizzard revolves around you, while Grass Knot damages nearby enemies with roots. Account for those coverage patterns when positioning; none of them removes Grass resistance from a target. Seed Bomb bounces between enemies, Energy Ball tracks a target and Solar Beam charges before releasing a large beam.
Foliage can hide approaching enemies. Fight near a clearing and avoid retreating through slowing swamp patches.
Six legendaries can use this arena: Celebi, Shaymin, Virizion, Tapu Bulu, Calyrex and Ogerpon. Shaymin and Ogerpon are pure Grass in this roster. The other four have a second type and can also use its arena, while retaining both types for damage matchups.

Grass has no direct weather damage boost in the checked code, including under harsh sunlight. Sandstorm and snowfall can still affect a Grass partner unless its second type provides the relevant protection.
| Weather | Attack damage of this type | Additional effect |
|---|---|---|
| Sandstorm | ×1 | Weather damage unless the partner also has Rock, Ground or Steel. |
| Snowfall | ×1 | Weather damage and up to 10% slower movement unless the partner has Ice as its other type. |
Multipliers shown at full weather intensity; they transition gradually as weather starts and ends. ×1 means no change to this attack type’s damage. Weather protection checks both of the partner’s types.
Grass deals ×1.6 to Water, Ground and Rock as single defending types. Against a double weakness such as Water / Ground, damage reaches the ×2.4 cap.
Pure Grass takes ×1.6 from Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying and Bug. It takes ×0.6 from Water, Grass, Electric and Ground. Dual typing can change these results.
