How PokéSurvivor turns one partner into a survival run

PokéSurvivor is a Pokémon survival roguelite playable in a browser on PC and mobile. Take one partner onto an endless map, survive waves of wild Pokémon and develop a build through automatic attacks, movement and level-up choices.

Defeat wild Pokémon to gain experience, then choose moves and upgrades as you level up. Build around your partner’s move pool and the active attack you want to strengthen.

To evolve a compatible move, reach its maximum level, obtain the required upgrade card and select the evolution when offered. Prepare your build before taking on bosses and legendary rifts.

Earn coins and tickets through play to progress and unlock partners across nine regions. Use our Pokédex, move recipes and type chart to plan ahead, checking current in-game descriptions for changes.

Choose a partner and play

Automatic attacks. Deliberate movement.

Your active move fires on its own. Watch enemy patterns, step out of marked attacks and keep an escape route open as the horde grows.

Types and weather shape your options

A move’s type affects its damage against each enemy. Dual types combine matchup modifiers, while weather can strengthen or weaken particular types. Check both before committing to a build.

Survive together in four-player co-op

Online rooms support up to four players. Shared experience helps the team grow, and staying near a fallen teammate can bring them back into the fight.

YOUR FIRST POKÉSURVIVOR RUN

Four steps from choosing a partner to surviving the horde

Learn the basic loop: pick a Pokémon, manage your active move, choose upgrades and keep a way out. Each attempt gives you room to refine your approach.

  1. Choose a partner and learn its attack

Start with an available Pokémon you enjoy. Watch how its opening move reaches enemies, then give yourself enough space to learn its range and rhythm before approaching a crowd.

  2. Practise switching your active move

Your selected move attacks automatically. If you have more than one move, try switching while the area is clear so you can respond to a different enemy or matchup without searching the controls.

  3. Collect experience and upgrade with a plan

Gather experience when the route is safe, then read your level-up choices. Strengthen a useful attack and check its evolution requirement; add defensive or utility upgrades as your run needs them.

  4. Keep moving toward an open route

Watch the space ahead, avoid marked attacks and move around the edge of a horde. Use broad turns when there is room, leave blocked paths early and collect missed pickups only when it is safe.

POKÉSURVIVOR MOVES & UPGRADES

Turn your move choices
into a stronger build.

Your active move attacks automatically. Shape its progress with focused upgrades and a plan for evolution as each run becomes more demanding.

Give your build a clear direction.

Compare the moves and upgrades offered at level-up. Choose options that suit your Pokémon’s move pool, your active attack and the space you need to move safely around enemies.

Strengthen the attack you rely on.

Review upgrades for your existing moves as the horde grows. Improving an attack you already use can keep your build focused; weigh each choice against the threats and gaps in your current run.

Work toward a compatible evolution.

Some moves evolve after reaching their maximum level and obtaining a specific upgrade card. Check the current in-game requirements, then select the evolution when it is offered.

EXPLORE THE POKÉSURVIVOR POKÉDEX

Explore nine regions. Build one Pokémon collection.

Browse 966 PokéSurvivor partners by their home region, from Kanto to Paldea. The Pokédex groups the roster across nine generations, matching the game’s regional collection pools. Choose a region to see its Pokémon, types and Starter markers.

Each region’s total includes its Starter and Legendary entries. Counts reflect the 966-partner roster documented in our Pokédex.

POKÉSURVIVOR TYPE MATCHUPS

Know the matchup. Plan your next move.

The 18 types in PokéSurvivor help determine how much damage a move deals. Compare your active move with the enemy’s types, account for dual-type modifiers and watch for weather changes. Explore the chart for the game’s damage multipliers, then check current in-game descriptions as you build.
